Meanwhile.. do you have any Windows Restore Points? if so - perhaps reset the system to an earlier date/time - when the problems you describer weren't present? Be careful - as I am not suggesting you use the Factory Reset/Restore routine; rather the Windows System Restore routine.

Also - as a precaution (and good practice at all times regardless) ensure you have copied/duplicated all your personal files etc. (stuff you really wouldn't wish to lose) to external storage. Typically to DVD but an external hard drive too is nice(r). Develop the habit/practice of regularly safeguarding your files by duplicating to external storage. (Don't use usb flash drives/ memory sticks for this as they're not intended for long term storage; and can -and often do - fail at an y time.)
