How To Edit Unite Revolution Slider

If your site uses the Unite Revolution Slider on the home page please follow the tutorial below on how to edit and create slides for your website.

Please note that the images sizes used on your site may be different from used in the example below. You will be supplied the correct image size once your website is complete.

Creating a new slide

The best way to create a new slide is to duplicate an existing slide already in place. This will save a lot time reconfiguring the new slide to match the others. All you then need to do is replace the images and text.

A new page loads in. You will see the name of your home page slider.

Editing the Slides

Click ‘Edit Slides’
You will now see a list of the slides that make up your home page slide show.
Locate the slide you wish to edit and click ‘Edit Slide’.
You will see the slide settings. You shouldn’t really need to adjust these setting as I will have done that for you.
Scroll down to Slide. See example.

Look at the Layers Timing & Sorting in the right column.

You can see that this slide is made up of 3 layers consisting of 2 images and 1 text.

Editing an image layer

As an example I’ll click and select the layer called Image 2. This is the large background image.
To change this image click the ‘Change Image Source’ button you see once the layer is selected.
A pop up window appears for you to either select a new image from your website server or upload a new image from your computer to the server. Select the new image you want to use and click ‘Insert’.

The text layer is different. If you click the text layer you will see the text used on the slide displayed in a box. You can edit or replace the text in the window by typing over it.

To create line breaks you will need to enter the html code for a line break which is <br/>

As an example, text written like this:

Will look like this - you won’t see the code:

When you have finished editing your slide click the green refresh button top right.

To view the full slide list scroll to the bottom and click ‘To Slide List’.
