Installation Directory

HTML5 Builder’s default installation directory depends on system’s architecture:

• 32-bit: C:Program FilesEmbarcaderoHTML5 Builder6.0.
• 64-bit: C:Program Files (x86)EmbarcaderoHTML5 Builder6.0.

RPCL Folder

The RPCL is installed on the rpcl folder inside HTML5 Builder’s installation directory.

Download mp3 of kabhi khushi kabhie gham. When running an RPCL application from HTML5 Builder (runtime), the RPCL folder is named rpcl-bin and located on the root of the application (/rpcl-bin).

Shared Data Directory

HTML5 Builder stores some data so it can be shared with other applications. This data is shared only with other applications of the same user, and its location depends on your version of Windows:

• Windows XP: C:Documents and Settingsyour usernameApplication DataEmbarcaderoHTML5 Builder6.0.
• Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8: C:Usersyour usernameAppDataRoamingEmbarcaderoHTML5 Builder6.0.

Shared Documents Directory

For shared documents, namely sample applications, HTML5 Builder uses the following directory:

• Windows XP (one of the following):

  • C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDocumentsHTML5 Builder6.0.
• Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8: C:UsersPublicDocumentsHTML5 Builder6.0.

Sample Applications Folder

Sample applications are located on the Demos folder inside HTML5 Builder’s shared documents directory.

Sample applications help you get a better understanding of how to develop your HTML5 Builder applications. You will find them in the sample applications folder.

Tip: You will find references to specific sample applications included on the pages of the components showcased on those applications. See Canvas or Mobile Theming, for example.

Database

There are sample applications that require a database management system to work. For those you are going to need to load the sample databases included in the sample applications folder into the target DBMS.

InterBase

InterBase samples all use the employee.gdb sample database. To install InterBase, check the installation notes.

MySQL

For MySQL-based applications, there is an SQL script called oscommerce.sql, which you need to run on your MySQL server.

Note: The file contains non-ASCII characters, so pasting the content in an open MySQL console in an MSDOS window won’t work. Use the source oscommerce.sql command instead.
